What makes a food super?

What is a super food? What qualifies a food to become super? The internet is full of thousands of pages which discuss superfoods but no one actually defines them. I believe when a food provides a micro nutrient which is rare or when a food provides a critical micro nutrient or when it provides several  rare and critical micro nutrients in  a  single serving or when a when a food provides high quantities measurable in mg or mcg of a single micro nutrient at least then it qualifies to become a super food.
For example there is plain wild bee made honey and then there is "Manuka Honey" Honey in itself is a superfood, but Manuka honey is a mega super food......why? because Manuka honey contains at least 400 percent more minerals than ordinary honey.

My last publication on superfoods can be accessed at

There is a free downloadable section.
