Gynostemma.....immortality herb from China

Gynostemma: According to the scientific herbal research being conducted in the People’s Republic of China, gynostemma has been identified as the most medicinal of all the Chinese herbs. It contains 120 saponins (immune modulating molecules that are fat soluble on one side of the molecule and water soluble on the other side) — all of which possess specific, dual-directional health-giving properties (e.g. if our immune system is down, these saponins can modulate it up. Gynostemma tea is a popular way for aborbing the benefits of this herb. In China, Gynostemma is admired and known to have many different nicknames such as: The anti-aging herb, the longevity herb, the cure-all, the miracle herb, the immortality herb and magic grass. Considered an adaptogenic herb, Gynostemma is what the Chinese consider a Super Herb. In the traditional Chinese medicinal culture, the equilibrium restored by Gynostemma would mainly be worded as replenishing the Qi. It helps to bring the body and mind into a state of harmony with our environment by inducing a balance not only in the body’s systems but in its chemicals and its cells. Its harmonizing function reduces negative conditions which furthermore stimulates the healing ability of the mind and body, promoting well-being.
